Fill & Squeeze Reusable Pouches

Some time before we started to wean Florence we thought about what we wanted to do, the pouches you can buy in the shops are so handy and convenient but can be cost effective. So we searched the internet and done some research and we came across these Fill & Squeeze reusable pouches. In total it cost about £30 which bought the starter pack which contained the pouch filler jug, a plunger (which doubles up as a masher) and x5 150ml reusable pouches ready to use. We then bought some additional pouches and bought 3 packs of 10 (at the time on the website it was buy 2 get 1 free)

Once we started weaning Florence and she started to take more food we decided to give these ago. They are brilliant! So easy to use, you just fill the pouch filler jug up of your pureed food pop a pouch on the end and then use the plunger to push the puree through to fill up the pouches. The pouches can be popped into the freezer and also are microwave safe. They are so handy. We make up a batch of food puree then fill these pouches and freeze. We then get them out the night before and pop into the fridge to defrost ready for the next day. To make life a little easier I always pop a label on the back of each pouch so we know what is inside.

I would highly recommend these. They are so easy to use and to clean. To clean all you have to do is simply wash out with hot soapy water and then when you want to reuse just cold sterilise and you are good to go (if you still sterilise you child’s stuff)

We have just started Florence on yogurt and homemade purees so at some point I will start to fill these up with yogurt.

One of the good things about these pouches are that they are convenient, easy to use, brilliant to take out and about (just like the shop bought ones) and easy to clean and reuse. These were the cheapest I could find at the time on the market for reusable pouches. There are some really expensive ones out there, its always worth looking about.
